Subject matter areas with which she has experience include ageing, older workers, retirement planning and outcomes, ageism, end of life care, residential/long term care, gender and later life, disability and ageing, social and emotional wellbeing, children in institutionalized care/Forgotten Australians/Former Child Migrants, early childhood education, cancer care and outcomes, simulation, clinical placement, mental health, aged care assessment, and veteran health.

Justine very recently completed a project for HelpAge International exploring the impact of COVID-19 on mortality in long-term care settings across the Asia Pacific. She is currently supporting HelpAge International and Asia Development Bank to design a community based aged care service in the Maldives.
